The year 2020 was a trying time for God’s people. We faced a full-blown pandemic, and so many of our loved-ones went home to be with the Lord. We were shut in our homes with more time to spend with God and seek His face. For me, there was more time to hear from God and think of ways to connect with his people while out of the church.
With all of these things in mind, I spent months in 2020 gathering scriptures on the different parts of our lives where we can spiritually grow. Those parts became the quarters for our 2021 prayer journal—fasting, praying, wealth & finance, and relationships. When the year ended, our spiritual fight kept going. The fight may have continued into this year, but now we have something like a trainer in the boxing ring. Seeking His Face: A Daily Guide to Spiritual Growth is just what the title says—a daily guide. I guarantee you if you read and do the activities every day, there is no way you will not have grown spiritually by the end of 2021. I challenge you to start your journey if you haven’t. We don’t know what the year has in store for us, but we DO know that we are going to grow together while reading and discussing the journal topics.
We are planning webinars for each quarter so that we can take a deep dive into fasting, praying, wealth & finance, and relationships. We don’t want to leave any stone unturned! Don’t miss out!
We’ve all heard the saying that “The race is not given to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but to he that endureth to the end.” This comes from two powerful scriptures in the Bible: Ecclesiastes 9:11 and Matthew 24:13. This is how we should feel about this journey we just started with the digital journals. A little bit everyday will lead to us growing a lot spiritually! Be encouraged and join us on this journaling journey. I would love to discuss the daily topics with you!
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Vivian D. Norwood
